HDT Vicat test instrument

HDT/Vicat tester - accurate heat resistance analysis for plastic materials
ZwickRoell's HDT/Vicat testers, available through ZRS Testing Systems, are used to determine the heat deflection temperature (HDT) and Vicat softening temperature (VST) according to ISO and ASTM standards. With a fully automated test sequence, it ensures consistent and repeatable results - regardless of the operator.

The system measures according to:

• ISO 75 / ASTM D648 for HDT on thermoplastics, thermosets and fiber-reinforced materials

• ISO 306 / ASTM D1525 for VST on thermoplastics and pipes

• Also creep behavior under bending stress can be analyzed

The testers are available with 2, 4 or 6 parallel test stations and cover temperatures up to 300 °Cmaking them suitable for both standard materials and more high-performance plastics. They can be run standalone via touchscreen or integrated with testXpert software for full data analysis and traceability.

Applications:
Excellent for research and development, goods reception, production monitoring and technical training. The intuitive design and stable mechanics make the system a reliable tool in laboratories with high demands on temperature resistance data.
